An Alternative to Caste Reservation in India

I stumbled upon an idea that might get rid of reservation in India.

People of non-general castes (SC, ST, OBC) keep crying about being poor and having the disadvantage of lacking a good university education that can give them a headstart in life to find a good job.

My idea is that their communities should self-fund their poor kids. For more than 100 years, rich people of general caste communities have made efforts to give back to the poor of their community by sponsoring bright students with scholarships, by establishing cheap hostels for kids of their community, by establishing cheap healthcare hospitals, etc.

From 1947 to 2026, the Indian government has made efforts for 79 years to give freebies and reservation to poor people who were labeled by the British colonizers as "criminal tribes" because of their bad behavior. Then the Indian government put these poor people on its shoulder to better their quality of life, and now after 79 years, lots of the people of non-general castes have gotten their lives and financial status improved. So, the people of non-general castes should take initiatives like general caste communities who have community-funded programs to give scholarships and establish other community-funded cheap services for their own community's people.

This is not the 1950s. Crores of people of non-general castes have the financial ability to fund freebies for the poor people of their own community. There should be free government schools because, as the inflation is rising and will always rise in the future, poor people need free school education. But there should be no reservation in colleges. If the poor people want to get enrolled in an expensive college, they can simply ask the rich people of their own community to fund their scholarship.

Furthermore, there should be no reservation in either government or private jobs.

What do you think about this idea? If someone's feelings are hurt by the proposal of removing the reservation, you are welcome to share your opinion.
